Megali Petra is considered one of Lefkada's best beaches because of its wild and exotic atmosphere, along with its turquoise waters. The beach has soft, white pebbly sand and is surrounded by rolling cliffs that lead into the sea. There are a few loungers and sunbeds available, but you'll need to bring your own supplies after that.

Porto Katsiki is a must visit. It's one of the most photographed beaches in Greece, so you've probably seen it on social media before. The beach has soft, pebbly sand and clear turquoise water, with a 100-meter-tall cliff behind it. This beach is stunning, and the plants growing at the cliff's edge add beautiful colors. Swimming at Porto Katsiki is an amazing experience, and the sunsets here are truly special too.

Egremni beach is incredibly beautiful. It has a mix of soft sand and small pebbles, with deep green-blue waters. A huge limestone cliff towers above, and you can reach the beach by climbing over 400 steps surrounded by greenery. Egremni is larger than Porto Katsiki and doesn't have any shade, making it one of Lefkada's more natural beaches, even though it's very popular. You can grab what you need from the canteen near the viewpoint. If you prefer not to tackle the steps, you can also reach the beach by boat.

Pefkoulia beach is a great example of the stunning beaches in Lefkada, even though it isn't as famous as some others. True to the Ionian style, Pefkoulia features a beautiful mix of soft white sand and pebbles, turquoise-green water, and tall pine trees (since "pefko" means pine in Greek). It's one of the largest beaches on the island and is close to the main town, making it a convenient choice if you're staying nearby.

Agiofili beach is located near the village of Vasiliki, on the southern part of the island. This small beach features shiny white pebbles and is set in a beautiful bay surrounded by rocky cliffs. The turquoise waters deepen quickly, making it great for snorkelling, and the views are stunning. If you can pull yourself away from the scenery, you'll enjoy swimming too. Keep in mind that parking is limited, and there's a bit of a walk to the beach, so you might consider taking a boat ride from Vasiliki.

Agios Nikitas beach is part of the popular seaside village of Agios Nikitas, and it definitely lives up to its reputation. Mikros Gialos beach, on the southern side of Lefkada near the village of Poros, offers its own version of paradise. At the beach, you can rent water bikes or canoes for some adventure. Mikros Gialos is in a sheltered cove with pebbly shells and shallow emerald-green waters, making it a great family-friendly spot.

Agios Ioannis Beach, is a top choice for visitors because of its closeness to the capital and its unique charm.
